Remote Key Injection (RKI) is a secure, efficient, and remote solution for loading cryptographic keys onto payment devices—eliminating the need for physical key injection facilities. RKI makes payment terminal setup faster and more seamless than ever.

What is RKI?

RKI enables the secure transfer and installation of encryption keys onto payment terminals (such as POS devices) from a remote server, eliminating the need for manual key injection at a Key Injection Facility (KIF).

Why Choose RKI?

  • Faster Deployment – Devices already injected with keys
  •  Efficiency & Cost Savings – No need for physical transport or manual key injection.
  • Enhanced Security – Secure encryption protocols protect against unauthorized access or tampering.

How It Works

Secure Communication – Establishes an encrypted connection between the remote server and the payment device.

Key Transfer – Securely transmits encryption keys to the device at Bank level  (terminal setup/configuration)

Built for Security & Compliance

PCI PIN & P2PE Certified – Compliant with industry-leading security standards.

Key Protection – Encrypted keys prevent unauthorized access or duplication.

Trusted Infrastructure – Uses certificate authorities (CAs) to ensure secure key exchange.

Minimum Order Quantity

Going forward, the minimum quantity per order for devices will be 100 units. This change is required by the manufacturer.

Key Injection Policy

All new devices will have keys injected remotely (RKI) by default. If for some reason you require a different method of key loading, please be aware that the cost of non-RKI key injection will be passed on to you.
